my sister offered to come to houston to see my mom on mother’s day.
so why did my mom go out of town anyway?
because:
if she stayed in houston then she would feel required to see her own mother.

Thanksgiving was totally radical.
I love being able to spend time with my two nieces and they were in town for several days.
I ate way too much pie and bought way too much stuff.

And by too much stuff I mean… I literally had to return some of it on Sunday….

I received a call today about my (half-)sister’s dad passing away.
I don’t call her my half-sister because well I treat her like an actual sister.
Anyway, I am very sad for her because I would be devastated if my dad died…
It’s really hard to know what to say to her though…
Nothing really suffices.
Now I am terrified [...]
