i’ll go over my vacation probably tomorrow- it will be long-winded so be prepared for that.
in the meantime here are more images:

this was taken with a crappy point and shoot camera when my minolta broke during my sophomore year.
black and white film- but developed in color chemicals- and printed onto regular glossy ilford paper
- this was supposed to be for a “self-portrait” assignment.
i liked the image but it was so grainy that it looked even worse blown up to the standard 8×10 for photography class.
my photography teacher requested that i retake the shot.

so i retook the shot- with a new nikon that my mom bought for me with bw film developed in bw chemicals-
and printed onto fiber (maybe warmtone?) paper.
there is a shot with the hand but this one is actually better than that one so i scanned it.
looking at them- i actually prefer the composition of the first one- if only it were clear like the second then we wouldve had something there.
otherwise…. not so much.

I love these photos. In terms of you saying you used there for a assignment as a self portrait shows a lot of ingenuity. I looked at a bunch of others and like the use of cigarettes in your photos. A smoker myself, I find something very appealing about smoking in an artistic way.
