my sister offered to come to houston to see my mom on mother’s day.
so why did my mom go out of town anyway?
because:
if she stayed in houston then she would feel required to see her own mother.
nevermind that her other daughter lives in houston. (me)
so if you’re keeping score at home-
mom is gone for easter, mother’s day, and will be gone on my birthday
(the 26th of this month she will be on a cruise).
she will be moving to the hill country to be near my sister soon.
will the tables turn in which she leaves town to see me every holiday instead?
NOT.

i may complain about this crap but it doesnt make me angry anymore- just a little sad.
i am grown woman now though- i think i can handle my mom picking my sister over me by now
(actually i think this is not accurate- she is mainly picking my nieces over me and this probably has nothing to do with my sister. i don’t blame her really- my nieces are amazing)
honestly, i am just thankful that this is all i have to complain about, ya know?
